Day 261: Who have visited us?

As mentioned so many times - lot of snow everywhere. One night we were wondering who have visited our back yard and teracce. So many foot prints in the snow! And what they have been doing there?

Day 250: Snow!!!!!

Snow, snow, and more snow. My callunas are not feeling okay under the pressure of snow in our wintry teracce.

Day 242: Sun is shining!

Today sun was shining at least here in Naantali. Notice the footprints in the teracce - they are my husband's. He has not been dancing there - he checked whether there is still something to eat for birds. Today we saw black bird in our teracce but I didn't have my camera ready.

Day 232: Frosty art?

This is our balcony - it looks quite frosty place. And my honest opinion is that it is almost as cold place as our teracce at this point of time.

Day 172: Squirrel!

Last winter we had several squirrels in our back yard eating nuts we were offering for birds. This year we changed the place where are offering nuts so that squirrels wouldn't come and disturb birds. But still - there was one squirrel in our teracce. Maybe it was eating something birds had dropped down but I really hope that this year these nice looking animals are not bothering birds! Note that this guy already had his winter coat on.

Day 102: Behind the corner!

Maybe I am too enthusiast with flowers in our back yard. I even have them behind the corner where I can't see them while sitting in teracce but neighbours can when walking by.

Day 66: Something new!

I enjoy so much of our "new backyard". It really makes me happy - even some work is needed to keep it  nice. I am sad living part of my working weeks in Helsinki. I would like to be able to sit in our teracce every single day - listening birds singing and children playing, and watching all the beautiful things around me. And even there are lot of beautiful things already there is always room for something new: two small baskets with flowers this time.

Day 35: What a teracce!

I have to say - I am very proud of our beautiful teracce. It takes some effort every day to keep it beautiful but it is worth of every minute.

Day 31: What a nice evening!

We visited another summer theater in Paimio. It was really nice weather and play was great. After theater we went to eat and when we arrived at home we were all so full of food and culture. Weather was still great and we decided to sit for a while in our teracce and enjoy the evening. I managed to photo my husband and my daughter having discussion. Look what a view!

Day 30: What to do with these cards?

I like playing games - both card and board games. It was sunny evening and we decided to play cards in our teracce. Do you know game Club Seven? The idea is to get rid of your cards and there are certain rules how to get rid of them. Most likely I have misunderstood something or the others just were so much better players than me - I  totally was the looser of this game.

Day 25: Look who has been busy!

Once again - photographing has changed me. On Saturday morning I noticed something on  table in teracce. Immediately I took my camera and managed to take only this one photo but it made me so happy. I was happy to have even this one photo. I was happy also because someone has been busy or should I say, really hardworking. Look the amount of pollen in this guy's legs! No wonder that he had some difficulties to fly but he really managed to fly away immediately after this photo was taken.

Day 17: Where is my paradise?

My paradise is located on our backyard in Naantali. Last summer we put lot of money and time to create our own little paradise and we did succeed - at least we feel like it. Today, on sunny Midsummer Friday, I spent most of the day sitting in backyard - reading book and drinking cold drinks. And one ice creams! If only there would be more these sunny days and I would be more often at home in Naantali.

Day 6: Why do I want to remote work?

It is Monday and I have been remote working. I love these days! I don't have to leave home. If I need a break I can even lay down for a moment if necessary. In my previous team these days were the ones when job was done. With that I mean that in here there is no disturbance - no one is coming beside my desk and interrup what ever it is I am doing. And that time it was also about not see my boss.

Now I have new job and I am still kind of getting acquainted my new tasks. My new office environment is totally different than in previous office. No disturbance, fewer colleagues and nothing wrong with boss. But still I want to remote work. I enjoy days when I can stay home and I do not need travel to Helsinki. It takes about 2 and half hour to travel from Naantali to Helsinki. And then I will live there in my little rented flat for several days - without television, without company - all by myself.

Here I have it all: television, company, more room(s) and lovely back yard teracce where to sit and enjoy these sunny summer days. Only disadvantages are that my remote work desk is much smaller than the one in office and laptop is also small one so it is hard to my shoulders to work with it.

Day 2: How I got my face washed?

I love these evenings when I come back home after spending time in Helsinki in my "love nest". Today I was especial happy since tomorrow me and two old colleagues of mine are going to sit in our back yard, grill, drink beer or cider and have a lot of fun. As first thing I started to wash our teracce since there was huge amount of pollen. My dear husband helped me: he was spraying water and I was swapping.  And then suddenly - I got my face washed. Oops!
