At least I think that this little blue tit is sick. I have read that if blue tit is fluffed up like this poor one - it means it is sick. So, we have now washed our feeding plates just to be sure.
Self study of my life photo by photo. Every day - photo taken - life lived. Blog post for every single day but not blogged every day.

Day 143: Wintry view!
I can't believe this - it is not even November and we have so beautiful wintry scenery already! Unfortunately, like our neighbor said, it won't last. At least according to weather forecasts. But let's enjoy as long as it is here. This is wintry nature at best. It can't be more beautiful - or can it. That we will see during following months.

Day 123: Sour said the fox about rowan berries!
There is Finnish saying Happamia sanoi kettu pihlanjanmarjoista. That is, "Sour said the fox about rowan berries". Deeper meaning is that this is said to someone who says negative things about something he unable to have, but he probably deep down would like to have.
Too negative mental image for these beautiful berries!

Day 122: Not so many colors!
I have to say I am little bit disappoint - not so colorful autumn this year! Mainly yellow but it is also looking nice in sun shine.
Day 121: Home made safari!
I have a dream: to participate to photography safari and see all kind of wild animals. And lot of photos in memory card! But before I have both time and money for that trip I have to happy with what ever there is shown in TV.

Day 97: Fly agaric?
This is funny. Most of people recognize fly agaric: the red mushroom with white spot. But I found totally different kind of sample: mushroom with flies.
Day 80: Dragonfly!
Even I am kind of waiting area near us to be constructed I am also sad. It means more buildings more people and less nature. This summer was not so good "dragonfly summer" and next summer there will be even fewer. That is sad.
There is lot to learn also about dragonfly anatomy. Thank God for internet otherwise it would be much more harder to learn new things!

Day 78:What do you see?
I went hiking in Nuuksio National Park with old colleague of mine. Nuuksio is big forest area quite near Helsinki area. Good place for outdoor activities for city people. Of course I had my cameras with me - I am not going any where without camera. Either I have my Canon EOS 500D or Canon IXUS 230 HS but sometimes both are in bag or backpack.
One photo was really surprising. When looking that later I see baby bear in this photo. And nothing else - baby bear sleeping in rocks with blanket of moss. What do you see?

Day 62: Summer!
Even this summer has not been so warm as two previous one I would not say that we have had lousy weather for whole summer. Look - doesn't this look like dream come true summer day: sun is shining, water is warm in the lake Saarijärvi (sorry - only in Finnish and Swedish) and summer cottage of our relatives looks really beautiful. This was perfect summer day!

Day 55: Have you seen a hedgehog?
When I was younger there were lot of hedgehogs - or at least it felt like that. For many years I have not seen living hedgehogs - only death ones run over by cars. But in my cousin's back yard there was a hedgehog and both me and my daughter manage to photo this spiky but so endearing creature before it went back to bushes.

Day 36: Where do I live?
Today me and my husband take a little walk around our neighborhood. There are also two other constructions going on and we went to see what is happening there. The other is in the woods where we used to walk with our dog Leevi (who died almost two years ago). It is sad that there will be less nature and more people after a while. Where do I go to photo butterflies, birds and flowers? Sad...
This photo is taken from other side of Torpparinkaari and we are living in that terraced house shown here. You can see our french balcony. Most likely next year this view looks very different.

Day 29: Why to kill a viper?
We are living in area where vipers are also living. In the yard of our terraced house there are many little children and when in one evening a viper crawled near children's playground fathers decided to get rid of that snake. I don't like snakes - not at all - but still I felt that killing the viper is not the best thing to do. There are more vipers somewhere near and one day they might also be in our yard. It would be better to tell children to be careful and if necessary, to walk away. Vipers are venomous and even their bite is not likely to kill humans you never know. But they are creatures of nature and we are the ones moved to their neighborhood.
Well - fathers didn't succeeded to kill the snake. Here is one of the snake hunters not so lucky.
