Day 86: Another itsy pitsy spider!

Yes. Another photo of spider. I don't know what that is telling about me but I seem to be over of my arachnophobia.

Day 82: Itsy Bitsy Spider!

You wouldn't believe but yet one year ago I hated spiders. I really did! And I was also afraid of them. But look at me today - I follow also life of spiders. And once again: photography is the key word here.

Day 81: Fight!

Yes - really: I notice so many little things when walking around with my camera. I witnessed the fight of two hymenopterans. I didn't have any idea how many different species there are! But I found one database where all species recorded in Finland are listed. But without photos - that is stupid.

Day 74: Who is living here?

This is from out "bug hotel". Some one is living here but he is not home right now - door is open (see the little hole).

Day 71: Two at once!

It is nice to see how little you actually see. Only after looking this photo in my laptop I noticed: I got two at once!

Day 63: Yuck!

I went out with my camera. I walked here and there. I also visited in near by woods. I didn't find nothing much to be photoed and I was little bit disappointed. Or frustrated. I was telling my husband how I didn't manage to find nothing interesting. And then I felt it... There was something back of my neck, something hard and it was like clued into my sweater.

Yuck! Eek! Oh my god - what is this?

It is Large poplar longhorn and not so frightening after I got it out of my neck. Funny guy. We moved it to our back yard but after two hours we moved it back to woods where it belongs. It didn't want to leave us or it was totally lost and since I has moved it far away of it range - we felt like we have the obligation to do that.

Day 25: Look who has been busy!

Once again - photographing has changed me. On Saturday morning I noticed something on  table in teracce. Immediately I took my camera and managed to take only this one photo but it made me so happy. I was happy to have even this one photo. I was happy also because someone has been busy or should I say, really hardworking. Look the amount of pollen in this guy's legs! No wonder that he had some difficulties to fly but he really managed to fly away immediately after this photo was taken.

Day 24: What?

I thought I took a nice photo of daisy. How little I noticed while taking that photo! When I looked that photo in laptop I noticed that I photoed daisy and some black visitors. Once again it was proved that camera see more than human eye and picture tells more than thousand word. Just try to identify all the little details in this picture and let then tell you their story.

Day 11: Who is living here?

This spring I bought insect hotel. Yes - really I did. I like to photo butterflies, dragonflies and other insects. After I started photography I have noticed that my way of look around has changed. I might stop walking after noticing something crawling in the ground. Or I can almost run after butterflies when I saw then flying around. Or I stop to listen birds and try to see and recognize them.

But back to our insect hotel. We have guests. I wonder who is living behind these closed doors.
