Day 248: Fire!

This morning there was stable in our neighbor's yard. But not anymore. Afterwards we read on local paper that fire department was practicing and after all hard practice they let it burn down. And reason why I don't have any photos of burning barn -we were not at home at that time.

Day 146: NO!!!!!

I have quite old laptop in my Helsinki home. And yes - it has been little bit unstable lately but this is something I don't like to see on the screen. Not at all!

I can't afford new laptop now. But if this keep happening I don't have options: I have to buy new laptop. I can live without TV but without computer - NO!

Day 109: Risto!

No secret - I am huge fan of Risto Kaskilahti. On Finnish TV they are showing three-part-serie based on movie Risto. But I can't watch it because I have to go to bed early! Otherwise I am in trouble next morning - and it is Monday morning which makes it even worse. :(

Day 68: Perceids!

I have never been interested in what is happening in the space. I only know few asterisms by names and only one I can recognize: Big Pipper. But yes - I seem to get interested in new things very easily. One night in August I spend several hours with camera, tripod and binoculars in our teracce hoping to see meteor shower Perceids. I saw few but no photo - but interesting experience. My husband was kind enough to make some cacao for me - it was not so warm either.

Day 64: To shave or not to shave?

It was our fourth anniversary. As usual we went to restaurant to eat something. This year it was Uusi Kilta in Naantali. This time older daughter with her boyfriend joined us. We ate a lot and enjoyed the sunny but little bit windy weather. But one thing was bothering me: my husband had skipped shaving that morning.

Day 36: Where do I live?

Today me and my husband take a little walk around our neighborhood. There are also two other constructions going on and we went to see what is happening there. The other is in the woods where we used to walk with our dog Leevi (who died almost two years ago). It is sad that there will be less nature and more people after a while. Where do I go to photo butterflies, birds and flowers? Sad...

Day 15: Who could say no to strawberries?

Today I bought strawberries from Pasila railway stations on my way to home. Those were from Spain. And they were the biggest disappointment of the day (even I heard some depressing news earlier today...) - not sweet at all and with money spend on those I would have had bought licorice which would have made me happy for sure. Next time I skip these Spanish strawberries! Even they looked very tempting in my bag.
